New Matilda is back online!

Yes, after coming perilously close to disappearing altogether in 2010, New Matilda is well and truly back in business. We were saved by a successful crowd-funding campaign which saw over 1200 readers donate more than $150,000 to keep NM going.  There��s more to read on the site than ever and traffic is up. So we��re ready to celebrate.

And if that weren��t reason enough to put on the ritz, our resident satirist Ben Pobjie has a book that needs launching! Ben��s literary debut, Surveying the Wreckage, collects the best of his columns for NM from the Rudd years.

We��d like to extend a warm welcome to NM contributors and supporters to come and celebrate with us on Thursday 21 April at the Beauchamp Hotel in Darlinghurst.

Ben Pobjie will be the belle of the ball and he��ll be joined by special guest, the Chair of the Sydney Peace Foundation Mary Kostakidis.
